Artbomb is not your average exhibition. Artbomb: connect + create brings together local artists, our local community and Hurstville Museum & Gallery in a slow release explosion of creativity and artistic expression. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with artists, as they work within our space. Come in and reconnect.
On Thursday 9 July 2020 between 10.00am – 1.00pm, visitors will be able to chat with a teacher from Shine Art Academy as students from the art school install their works in the gallery space at Hurstville Museum & Gallery.
Shine Art Academy provides engaging and fun classes for children and adults. It is their aim to help students learn a broad range of artistic skills as well as broadening their views and understandings of fine art. They accomplish this by introducing their students to a variety of different tools and mediums.
For Artbomb, the students of Shine Art Academy have pre-planned and created their works using pencil and markers which they have submitted to their teachers. The teachers have scanned and digitized them, creating a mock-up in Photoshop. It is planned on the day that the students and accompanying teacher will cut out the works and assemble them on the Gallery walls. We can’t wait to see what they have planned!
Artbomb will be on display at Hurstville Museum & Gallery from 9 June – 26 July 2020.
